3D

3d-gen

A photo, turned into a 3D model.

On the rail as 3d-gen.

Reach for it with a photo and want a 3D model you can orbit, light and export, without settling on one generator up front.

It builds a new model from scratch, so it will not match a look trained from your own past models, or fit a model exactly into a space you have already measured out.

  1. Drop a picture onto the card’s Image slot, from the board or your computer.
  2. Write what you want in Prompt.
  3. Pick a model in the pill at the top of the card, or keep Tripo 3.1 HD.
  4. Press Run.
Control What it does Choices
Image The picture the tool works from. Drop one from the board or your computer. One picture
Prompt What you want, in your own words. The card sends it with your inputs. Your words
Run Starts the run. The number on it is what this run costs in credits, worked out before you press.
×1 Runs the card several times in a row with the same settings. 1 to 99

The pill at the top of the card picks the model. Tripo 3.1 HD is the one a new card starts on.

Model Good for
Tripo 3.1 HD The high-detail single-image generator: Ultra HD geometry up to 2M polygons, quad or triangle output, for hard-surface props, architecture and any piece whose fine geometry must hold up close; also the quad stage of Quad Sculpture.
Tripo P1 The fastest generator in the 3D tools: a low-poly mesh of 48 to 20K faces in about 2 seconds, for rapid iteration over many concepts and stylized game assets that are used as they come out.
Tripo P2 The clean-topology low-poly generator: one image becomes a game-ready mesh with native quads and a face budget of 48 to 50K (25K as quads), the pick when the model has to be edited, rigged or animated straight away.
Trellis 1 The quick, affordable single-image generator and the default for a first look: consistent, repeatable output with clean UV maps in about 35 seconds, to find out whether a picture reads in 3D before spending on a careful mesh.
Trellis 2 The everyday all-rounder for image-to-3D: a textured mesh in about 30 seconds with up to 1536p resolution, decimation and remeshing for clean topology, and the generator that applies a trained 3D style from your own models.
Meshy 7.1 The premium-texture single-image generator: the richest PBR maps here, close tracking of the reference, quad topology by default, 2K to 8K textures, an optional prompt, A/T-pose and an Ultra pass; also the engine behind the Inflater.
Rodin Gen-2.5 Production-ready geometry with PBR textures from one image plus an optional prompt that steers beyond the picture, quality tiers, mesh presets from 4K quad to 2M triangle, and the engine behind Box Gen, where a drawn box sets proportions.

Not the one for: It ignores the prompt and is the slow, dense route: a quick check of whether a picture reads in 3D, or a low-poly game asset, is better served by a faster generator, and the dense output wants a remesh before editing.

Behind the settings button:

Setting What it does Choices
Geometry Quality How finely the shape is modeled. Detailed captures more; standard is lighter. Ultra HD, Standard
Quad Mesh When on, rebuilds the surface from clean four-sided patches, which is friendlier for editing and animation. On or off
Face Limit The cap on how many surfaces the model can have. Higher is more detailed and heavier. 1000 to 500000
Texture Quality How sharp the model’s surface art is. Higher looks crisper but makes a heavier file. Standard, HD, None
Texture Seed The dice roll for the surface look specifically. Change it for a different texture from the same settings. 0 to 100
Texture Alignment Whether the surface art follows the source photo or wraps to the 3D shape. Match Image, Match Geometry
Auto-fix Image Cleans up the input photo before building the model. On or off

Not the one for: It ignores the prompt, has no quad, parts or geometry-quality options, and its low-poly output is not production geometry; add a texturing pass afterwards or take a high-detail generator when surface fidelity matters.

Setting What it does Choices
Face Limit The cap on how many surfaces the model can have. Higher is more detailed and heavier. 48 to 20000
Texture Quality How sharp the model’s surface art is.
Orientation Whether to keep a standard upright pose or face the model the way the photo does. Default, Align to Image
Auto Size Normalizes the model to a standard size. On or off
Compress Shrinks the file size of the model. On or off

Not the one for: It costs about twice P1 and is not the fast blockout tool; it ignores the prompt, has no parts or geometry-quality options, and for dense hero-asset detail the high-detail generator is the better spend.

Auto Size Normalizes the model to a standard size. On or off
Compress Shrinks the file size of the model. On or off

Not the one for: It ignores the prompt, returns a mesh with a base color map only (no normal or metallic-roughness maps), and gives less detail than Trellis 2; take a shape worth keeping to a high-quality engine afterwards.

Behind the settings button:

Setting What it does Choices
Randomize Seed When on, uses a new random starting point each run so every result comes out different. On or off
Sparse Structure Steps Advanced: refinement passes for the rough-shape stage. The default is fine for almost everyone. 1 to 50
Sparse Structure Guidance Advanced: how closely the rough-shape stage follows the input. The default is fine. 0 to 10
Latent Steps Advanced: refinement passes for the fine-detail stage. The default is fine for almost everyone. 1 to 50
Latent Guidance Advanced: how closely the fine-detail stage follows the input. The default is fine. 0 to 10
Mesh Simplify How aggressively to thin out the surface afterward to lighten the file. 0.9 to 0.98
Texture Size How sharp the surface art is. Bigger looks crisper up close but is a heavier file. 512 to 2048

Not the one for: It ignores the prompt and returns a base color map only, no PBR set; with a 3D style active the resolution is fixed, so raise Detail instead, and finer geometry or richer materials call for the HD or premium-texture generators.

Behind the settings button:

Setting What it does Choices
3D Style Generate in a trained 3D style. Leave empty for plain TRELLIS 2.
Resolution How big and detailed the result is. Higher looks sharper but costs more and takes longer. 512, 1024, 1536
Texture Size How sharp the surface art is. Bigger looks crisper up close but is a heavier file. 1024px, 2048px, 4096px
Remesh Rebuilds the surface into a cleaner, more even grid that is easier to edit, texture, and animate. On or off

Not the one for: It is the slow, costly route at 5 to 10 minutes per run, so a quick shape check or a fast iteration loop is wasted on it; it takes one image, and several angles of the same object belong with the multi-image variant.

Behind the settings button:

Setting What it does Choices
Topology The pattern the surface is built from. Quads (four-sided) are cleaner for editing and animation; triangles are the raw default. Quad, Triangle
Target Polycount Roughly how many surfaces the finished model should have. More is more detail and a heavier file. 100 to 300000
Enable PBR Generates realistic surface materials (how light, shine, and bumps behave), not just a flat color. On some models this adds to the cost. On or off
Texture Resolution How sharp the model’s surface art is. Higher looks crisper up close but makes a heavier file. 2K, 4K, 8K
Geometry Detail An extra pass that sharpens edges and fine surface detail. Ultra takes longer and costs a little more; 4K is the finest. Standard, Ultra 2K, Ultra 4K

Not the one for: With no prompt it writes one from the image itself; higher tiers and HD textures cost more, quad presets are smooth while fine detail needs triangle presets, and it takes one picture, so several angles need a multi-view generator.

Behind the settings button:

Setting What it does Choices
Material What kind of surface to output: realistic PBR, simple shaded, or both. PBR, Shaded, All
Quality / Mesh The detail budget and surface type in one pick. Higher numbers mean finer detail and a heavier file. 4K Quad, 8K Quad, 18K Quad, 50K Quad, 100K Quad, 200K Quad, 2K Triangle, 20K Triangle, 150K Triangle, 500K Triangle, 1M Triangle, 2M Triangle
Tier The overall quality level. Higher looks better but is slower and pricier. Extreme Low, Low, Medium, High, Extreme High
HD Texture Outputs sharper, higher-resolution surface art. On or off
Geometry Mode Faithful matches your input closely; creative fills in the unseen parts more freely. Faithful, Creative
Symmetry How much to assume the object is mirror-symmetrical, which helps fill in hidden sides. Symmetric, Balanced, Asymmetric, Auto
