Get the work out

Downloading

One pill in the bottom-right corner, and what it does depends on what you have selected.

A download circle sits in the bottom-right corner of every board. It reads your selection and reshapes to match it, so there is one affordance rather than a different export route per kind of thing.

Select nothing and hover it, and it offers the whole board.

Selected What you get
One image or video The file, straight down
One vector An SVG with its paths intact
One or more 3D objects The export dialog, with a format to pick
Several things, mixed One organised .zip
Sticky notes or text notes.md
Nothing The whole board as a bundle

It sweeps everything on the canvas, including the parts that are not files:

  • Every image, video, audio clip and vector
  • Every 3D asset
  • Image folders and voice memos
  • Sticky notes and text, written out as notes.md
  • Link cards, as links.md
  • Colour palettes, as palette.txt

So a board handed over as a bundle carries the reasoning as well as the artwork, which is usually what the person receiving it actually needed.

Selecting a frame exports what is inside it, which is the reason to keep the approved work framed. A frame is a natural handover unit, and exporting one gives you the set without the dead ends around it.

Files arrive named the way they are named in your library. Rename the few assets a project actually ships and the rename follows them into the download, so a client receives something that says what it is rather than a model name and a timestamp.

Formats has the per-kind detail, and 3D export formats goes deeper on meshes, where the choice actually matters.
