Swapping the model

The pill in the card header changes which engine runs, and rerunning the same input across two of them is the fastest way to pick.

You have written the prompt, you have a result, and it is nearly right in a way you cannot name. Swap the model in the card header, press Run again, and compare two readings of the same words side by side on the canvas.

Model behaviour differs wildly per task, and no ranking survives contact with a specific job.

At the top of the card, showing the engine that will run. Click it for the alternatives, pick one, and everything else on the card stays exactly as you left it.

Some cards carry a lot behind that pill:

Card What sits behind the pill
edit-images Nano Banana in four sizes, GPT Image 2 and 1.5, FLUX 2 Pro and Max, Seedream 5 Pro, Reve Remix, P Image, Qwen Image 3
text-to-image Nano Banana Pro, FLUX 2 Pro and Max, Recraft 4, GPT Image 2 and 1.5, Qwen 2 and 3, Ideogram v4
3d-gen Hunyuan 3.1, Tripo 3.1 HD, Tripo P1, Trellis 1 and 2, Meshy 7, Rodin Gen-2.5, plus text-to-3D variants
image-upscale P Image Upscale, SeedVR2, and two flavours of Topaz

Some cards have a model pill and some have a mode pill. They look alike and do different things.

A model pill changes the engine. Behind the card a different generator runs, with its own settings and its own price.

A mode pill keeps the same engine and changes the brief. describe has a motion mode for video beside its image mode; variations has six axes. Same model underneath, different instructions to it.

The workflow the pill is built for:

  1. Write the prompt once and run it
  2. Lock the card so it stays open
  3. Swap the pill, press Run again
  4. Repeat for the two or three engines you suspect

Locked, every result lands in its own slot in a collecting frame rather than replacing the last one, so you end with a row of the same prompt read four ways. Locking a card covers that.

A few cards exist mainly to put engines side by side. 3d-gen is one drop zone in front of ten 3D generators, and its value is that “which one handles my object best” becomes one drop and four presses instead of four separate setups.
