The canvas
Keyboard shortcuts
Every shortcut on the canvas, grouped the way the in-app cheat sheet groups them.
The same list lives in the app: press <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> <kbd>K</kbd> and open **Keyboard shortcuts** under Help, where every shortcut is a row with its keys. That copy is the one kept in step with the code. This page is here so you can read it without opening Plnty. Single letters work whenever you are not typing. Nothing here fires while your cursor is in a prompt box, a text card or a comment. ## Tools | Action | Keys | | - | - | | Select | <kbd>V</kbd> | | Grab | <kbd>H</kbd> | | Scale | <kbd>K</kbd> | | Frame | <kbd>F</kbd> or <kbd>Shift</kbd> <kbd>S</kbd> | | Text | <kbd>T</kbd> | | Pencil | <kbd>P</kbd> | | Comment | <kbd>C</kbd> | | Sticky note | <kbd>N</kbd> | ## Navigation | Action | Keys | | - | - | | Zoom in | <kbd>E</kbd> or <kbd>+</kbd> | | Zoom out | <kbd>Q</kbd> or <kbd>-</kbd> | | Frame all content | <kbd>Shift</kbd> <kbd>1</kbd> | | Reset camera | <kbd>Home</kbd> | | Flythrough mode, WASD to pan and QE to zoom | <kbd>Shift</kbd> <kbd>N</kbd> | Holding <kbd>Space</kbd> and dragging pans, which is the one most people reach for without being told because it matches Figma. ## Edit | Action | Keys | | - | - | | Undo | <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> <kbd>Z</kbd> | | Redo | <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> <kbd>Shift</kbd> <kbd>Z</kbd> | | Select all | <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> <kbd>A</kbd> | | Duplicate | <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> <kbd>D</kbd> | | Group | <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> <kbd>G</kbd> | | Ungroup | <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> <kbd>Shift</kbd> <kbd>G</kbd> | | Toggle layout grids | <kbd>Shift</kbd> <kbd>G</kbd> | | Delete selection | <kbd>Del</kbd> | | Opacity 10% to 90% | <kbd>1</kbd> to <kbd>9</kbd> | | Opacity 100% | <kbd>0</kbd> | | Exact opacity, two digits quickly | <kbd>2</kbd> <kbd>5</kbd> | Holding <kbd>Alt</kbd> while dragging duplicates in place, which is faster than <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> <kbd>D</kbd> when you want the copy somewhere specific. Opacity works the way it does in Figma, on the pictures and clips you have selected and on the ones inside a selected frame. <kbd>5</kbd> sets 50%, <kbd>0</kbd> brings it back to 100%, and two digits typed quickly set the exact value (<kbd>2</kbd> then <kbd>5</kbd> is 25%). It dims a version you set aside without taking it off the board, for everyone on it. The file itself is never changed: a download, or a tool you run on it, uses the full picture. Right-click a picture for the same choices under Opacity. ## App | Action | Keys | | - | - | | Search | <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> <kbd>K</kbd> | | Settings | <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> <kbd>,</kbd> | | Toggle tools sidebar | <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> <kbd>\</kbd> | | Clear selection, exit tool | <kbd>Esc</kbd> | | Report a bug | <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> <kbd>Shift</kbd> <kbd>B</kbd> | :::tip[The two worth learning first] <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> <kbd>K</kbd> and <kbd>Shift</kbd> <kbd>1</kbd>. Searching by name beats hunting the sidebar once you know what you are after, and the same search finds boards, commands and settings as well as tools. Framing all content is how you find your way back after zooming into a corner of a board that has grown. :::The same list lives in the app: press Ctrl K and open Keyboard shortcuts under Help, where every shortcut is a row with its keys. Opacity works the way it does in Figma, on the pictures and clips you have selected and on the ones inside a selected frame. 5 sets 50%, 0 brings it back to 100%, and two digits typed quickly set the exact value (2 then 5 is 25%). It dims a version you set aside without taking it off the board, for everyone on it. The file itself is never changed: a download, or a tool you run on it, uses the full picture.
