Board settings

Everything you can change about a board lives in two places, and there is no settings dialog to go looking for.

Everything you can change about a board lives in two places: the pill at the top of the canvas, and the Share panel beside it. There is no settings dialog, which is worth saying plainly so you stop looking for one.

Control What it changes
The name pill Click to rename, commits when you leave the field
Share Who has access, at which role, and whether a public link exists
Presentation mode Hides the working chrome so the board reads as a presentation

Presentation mode is worth knowing about. A board full of tool cards and pills is a workspace; the same board with the chrome away is something you can put on a screen in a meeting without apologising for it.

Access is a board-level setting rather than a workspace-level one, so a board can be shared more widely than the workspace around it.

  • Invite people by email, as Editor or Viewer
  • Resend or remove an invitation that has not been taken up
  • Copy the public link, which is read-only and needs no account
  • Copy the embed code, an iframe at whatever size you set

Sharing a board covers what each role can actually do.

Three things people reasonably look for here and will not find, because they belong to the workspace:

  • Storage and credits. Both are workspace-level, shared by every board in it
  • Members. Workspace membership is separate from board access, and most people get to a board through the workspace rather than through an invitation
  • The library. One library per workspace, not one per board

From the workspace home rather than from inside the board, which is deliberate: it is hard to delete the thing you are looking at by accident.

The assets stay in your library. Only the canvas goes.
