Plnty in your AI assistant

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Claude Code to Plnty and make pictures and video from there, on your own credits.

If you already work in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Claude Code, you can ask it to work in Plnty for you. Plnty speaks MCP, the standard these apps use to reach other tools. Connect it once and your assistant can search your library, run Plnty’s tools and bring files in or take them out. What it makes lands in your Plnty library, as if you had made it on a board.

The address is the same for every app:

https://mcp.plnty.app

The first time, each app sends you to Plnty to approve the connection. There you choose what it may do and how it spends your credits, and you can change both later under Settings, MCP and extensions.

App Where to add it
Claude (web and desktop) Settings, Connectors: add a custom connector with the address
ChatGPT In developer mode, add an app with the address
Claude Code claude mcp add --transport http plnty https://mcp.plnty.app, then /mcp to sign in
Cursor In mcp.json: { "mcpServers": { "plnty": { "url": "https://mcp.plnty.app" } } }

Any other app that speaks MCP over HTTP connects the same way: give it the address and approve it in Plnty.

  • Find your work. Search your library by what is in a picture, by kind or by date, and read what each piece was made from.
  • Make and change pictures. Generate, edit with words, restyle, make variations and close-ups, remove a background, upscale, extend past the edges, and use your own trained LoRAs.
  • Make video from a picture. Animate a picture into a clip, optionally ending on a second picture, on Seedance 2.5 by default or on Kling, Wan or LTX. Or move a camera around it with one of the camera moves from the canvas.
  • Run your chains. The chains you saved run from your assistant too. One that uses a tool drawn on the canvas needs a board open in your browser, and your assistant says so.
  • Bring files in. Upload from your computer, or hand your assistant a link to a picture or a video (a Figma export, a file in the cloud, a shared Dropbox or Drive link) and Plnty fetches it itself.
  • Take files out. A download link for any piece, good for up to a day. A video’s comes with its size, length and frame rate.

A tool run from your assistant spends the same credits as on the canvas, at the same price. Your assistant can ask what a run will cost before it starts one, and each start reports how much it held. A run that fails gives its credits back.

When you approve the connection, When it runs a paid tool decides how it spends:

Choice What happens
Run without asking Paid tools start as soon as your assistant calls them
Ask me first Before each paid run it tells you the price and waits for your yes

Either way you can set a Daily credit limit. Reading your library and other free calls never ask and never count toward it. Both live under Settings, MCP and extensions, Agents, as Paid tools and Daily limit.

In ChatGPT and Claude, what a tool made shows beside the reply. Pictures show large, several sit in a grid, and a clip plays in place, its first frame showing until you press play. Each has a way to open it in Plnty. A clip plays from a link that lasts an hour, so open it in Plnty to watch it again later.

With Figma’s own connector in the same assistant, one conversation can carry a design to a comp:

  1. Export a frame from Figma. The Figma connector hands back a link to the picture, which lasts a short while.
  2. Give that link to Plnty, which brings the picture into your library.
  3. Animate it, or move a camera around it.
  4. Ask for the clip’s download link, good for up to a day. It carries the clip’s size, length and frame rate, the three settings a new After Effects comp asks for.

Settings, MCP and extensions, Agents lists every app you have connected, what each may do and how it spends. Revoke one there and it stops on its very next request.
