Notifications
The bell tells you what happened while you were elsewhere, and every category has its own channel so you can turn the noisy ones down.
Most of what you want to know about happens while you are looking at something else. A teammate resolves a thread, a long render lands, a LoRA finishes training. The bell in the top bar collects those, and clicking one takes you to the thing itself rather than to a list. ## What reaches you Eight categories, and they cover both halves of a working day: other people acting on your work, and your own long-running jobs finishing. | Category | Fires when | |---|---| | Shares & Invitations | Somebody shares a board or project with you, or upgrades your role | | Mentions | Somebody @mentions you in a sticky note or a comment | | Comment Replies | Somebody replies in a thread you are part of | | Resolved Threads | A thread you participated in is marked resolved | | AI Completions | A generation finishes or fails | | Credit Grants | Credits arrive from Plnty or a team admin | | LoRA Training | Your training run finishes or fails | | Guest Passes | Somebody you invited joins, makes their first thing, or subscribes | Mentions and Comment Replies do not double up. A reply that @mentions you arrives as a mention and not as both. ## Clicking one A notification knows what it points at, so it opens the board and then the exact object: the comment thread, the sticky note, the survey. If the thing lives on a board you do not have open, you get taken there first. That is the reason to click the notification rather than go looking. A comment thread on a busy board is hard to find by eye and trivial to find by link. ## Choosing how loud each one is Open **Notifications** in your settings. Every category has the same four options, set independently: | Channel | What you get | |---|---| | Bell + Email | The bell, and a message in your inbox | | Bell only | The bell, nothing sent | | Toast only | A toast while you are in the app, and no record afterwards | | Off | Nothing | The useful move is not turning things off wholesale. It is putting the categories you act on immediately, usually Mentions and Shares, on **Bell + Email**, and dropping the ones that only matter while you are working, like AI Completions, to **Toast only**. :::note[Guest passes are bell-only by design] The guest-pass notifications are created on the server rather than by anything you do in the app, and that path cannot send mail. Setting them to **Bell + Email** would show you an email option that never arrives, so they stay on the bell. ::: <!-- IMAGE STILL NEEDED: the notification centre open from the bell, with one unread mention and one AI completion visible.
